No spam is good spam. That's the ThinkSend philosophy.
There are four core issues relating to Spam:
1. Federal, State and International Spam Laws
2. Use of Opt-In Lists and Permission Marketing
3. Anti-Spam Email Clients
4. Email Techniques used to help resolve #3
The Spam Laws:
The federal CAN-SPAM Act of 2003 (Controlling the Assault of Non-Solicited Pornography and Marketing Act) establishes requirements for commercial emailers. Other U.S. federal anti-spam legislation is also under consideration, and many states have also enacted anti-spam laws. The European Union and dozens of other nations have enacted their own anti-spam measures that impact those sending commercial email abroad.
Please read our Spam Laws page, to help ensure that your email campaign is compliant with the laws.
Opt-In Lists
Part of the CAN-SPAM Act, dictates that there must be a method to Opt-Out (or Unsubscribe) from email marketing messages.
ThinkSend is taking this effort a step further. We require that e-mail addresses you supply, be part of an Opt-In List.
Please read our Opt-In Lists page, to understand options.
Anti-Spam Email Clients:
The newest email clients in use today - including Outlook 2003+, Thunderbird, Entourage and Eudora 6+ - have special anti-spam filters that, by default, attempt to block emails that contain HTML and/or embedded images.
In addition, they also attempt to determine what may be spam or junk mail, based on the textual contents of the email. Although these measures help reduce the amount of spam that makes it into our inboxes, they can also make it difficult to get your email marketing campaigns through to your customers.
Please read our Email Clients page, to learn more about how we help ensure that your e-mail still gets through to your recipients.
Email Techniques:
ThinkSend follows best practices, with regards to email techniques used to help resolve issues relating to anti-spam email clients.
